join the sport and be part of one of the fastest growing clubs in the country.

There are many exciting opportunities at Weymouth Volleyball Club for everyone to learn, play and compete; from beach and grass to indoor.

The indoor season runs from September to March/April and we start training from mid-August. We’ll finish the season with a big, mixed, club-wide tournament in early April.

If you’re new to the sport then our weekly Club Night is the perfect place to start. Have fun learning and developing your skills with expert guidance from qualified coaching staff.

We also have teams competing in local leagues, held on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Start times depend on league fixtures, but there are early or late games between 6.30pm and 9.30pm at Weymouth College. As part of being able to play, teams are also expected to help officiate some games.

Wednesday League consists of social timed games ideal for newer players and Weymouth have 3 junior teams competing too.

We love how

a

for volleyball

brings people together.

Tuesday League has more competitive five-set matches across two divisions. It's also a great opportunity for our regional players to practice playing together and gelling as teams in preparation for South West League.

Our most experienced players compete in the National League or South West League on either our men's or women's regional team. Fixtures are triangular (with the exception of NVL1), so teams play twice and referee once during a match-day. We host our home matches at Redlands and we welcome as much local support as possible from the viewing balcony.

Weekends are game days.

Away days involve some travel and it's always fun to hit the road as a squad. Sundays are game days and there are usually eight or nine per season for each regional team. Post match-days our players and supporters enjoy a discounted meal at our sponsor Enzo on the Esplanade in Weymouth.

Fees should be paid by using the Spond app - you’ll need to contact a Club officer for details - on the first of each month, running from September (or when you join) to March.

If you would rather pay in one go then let us know as we can offer a bulk payment discount. Payments and standing orders should be made to WEYMOUTH WAVES, account. 21610635 and sort code 40-19-21. Please be sure to use your full name name as a reference so we can identify the payments, and also let us know when you have done this so we can check.

Juniors.

Juniors are the future of our Club. We’re super proud to have a Junior section competing in Wednesday Local League, South West JuVoTos and the National Grand Prix. Any new players under 18y/o must bring a completed consent form with them to their first session. Parents/guardians should also read our Safeguarding Policy.
